Well, today I was outside from about 8am till just about dark moving plants and putting together my arbor and stuff like that. Got a start on getting the yard ready for some landscaping that we’re planning on doing before winter. Bill wants to make it all no maintenance, no more weed pulling! Next spring we’re going to put in a pond with fish. The place will look nice when all the concrete gets poured and the patio is done, and the rest of the privacy fence is in. This pushes back the kitchen remodel by a while tho…that’s planned for after my car is paid off…and after everyone else gets paid… It seems like they’re all standing there with their hand out again… Oh well, it’s only money right? (Wish I had just a little more of it tho.) Can’t wait till it’s all done, it will be a nice private area in our back yard. Well, that’s all for today, leave a comment, or e-mail me ok? Bye.

Not much time to write anything today, but everything here is going ok. They are framing our driveway this morning, so hopefully they will pour the concrete soon. I can’t wait for that damn highway to be done! It’s going on 6 months now that we’ve had to put up with the dust and noise and loss of yard…get it done already!

I guess I’m now the official sign painter for Menards…so far I have done “We Sell Pole Barns!”, and “We Sell Trusses!”, and did the Cow for the Columbus Days community thing, and one for the “Storewide Summer Clearance Sale”. Now they want one that says “We Sell Decks” and after that one that says either “We sell houses” or something else. They found out I have a little talent, so they are going to exploit it fully. I don’t care…I get paid the same whether I’m selling stuff, or sitting back in receiving doing my thing! My mom stopped by and took pictures of the signs I did, but I can’t get them to open on here…anyway, maybe I’ll figure it out and get the pictures up somehow…I hope. Well, that’s all for today.

Well, I think I finally have the Probe sold. The guy is supposed to come to Menards tomorrow and give me the money. Then he can tow it away, ’cause it ain’t goin’ no where on it’s own! Didn’t get much for it, but then again, I couldn’t have gotten any more use out of it… I drove it until it died in front of our house last year…haven’t driven it since. Bill had it out a couple times and it stranded him both times and had to be towed home. Anyway…not much else I want to talk about tonight. Except that I’m getting back into my art again. I’m going to do a mural on a 4′ x 8′ piece of plywood. Don’t have it all planned out yet what I want on it, but that will take some time. I just had to get it painted white first. The planning stage is next. I’m doing more signs at work too…oh yeah, we have a new store manager again…yesterday on my day off, the big guy from the home office came in and they escorted the old manager out…he got demoted…I think he’s going to be in the Omaha area now. There were cards going around for him to say goodbye, but what can you say in those? “Hey, it sucks that you got demoted, but good luck in the future!” No you just can’t say that…so you just put down the second half of that! I like the new guy tho…he seems really nice…actually came over and had a real conversation with me. None of the other store managers ever did that. Anyway, enough about work…have to go to bed and go back to work. Bye.

Went to the horse races last night…lost on the 3rd race, won $37 on the 4th, lost on the 5th, and won again on the 6th…still have to cash in my ticket on that one tho…going back tonight.
P.S. Well, I cashed in and was far enough ahead to take us out to eat and get a movie…so had 2 free nights of entertainment and broke even!

Well, it’s Tuesday the 26th and I finally have a day off after 8 working days (not 15 like I thought it would be). Got a new pair of work shoes that are hurting my feet, but have to keep them (they cost too much and no returns on sale merchandise). Anyway, going to let Adam drive me to Columbus today in his car for driving practice (still waiting on his certificate from drivers ed so he can get his licence). Not much else going on, so talk to me…make my life exciting!
