It’s been a while since I put anything down so here it is. And the answer is…….ummm……nothing new. So, bye.

The year’s almost over and it’s winter again. We were going to go to Council Bluffs to the casino yesterday to take advantage of the free room they gave us, but I ended up getting another migraine headache, the second one in a week. That sucks. I caught it in time though…it didn’t really develope into a full-blown one. Anyway we’ll go to Harrah’s in 2 weeks on my next weekend off I guess. I usually have fun when we go to the casino…I can play all night on $20 if I do the penny slots. I might try a live game next time…that might be fun. I don’t plan on bringing a lot of money, so I won’t lose more than I can afford. Bye.

Well, I made it another year…whoop-dee-do! God I feel old… Anyway, I didn’t have to work yesterday and Bill stayed home too because of the weather. We had a roast for supper and rented “War of the Worlds” which was a really good movie. Monday coming home from work was the worst I’ve ever seen it…I left work about 4 hours early, but I probably should have stayed in Columbus. It was so bad driving in that storm that I had to stop at Monroe to calm my nerves. When I was just about ready to leave again, Bill came pulling in. I was really glad to see him! There for a mile or two right before I got to Monroe it was complete white-out, I was driving along at about 5mph looking for the next yellow line in the middle of the road and praying that someone else didn’t come along and crash into me head on…that happened to a guy that lives here in town when he was driving up by Humphrey, he got over into the other lane and crashed head-on into a semi…he didn’t make it. Steve might have known him as he was 28, Jeffrey Gronenthal. Anyway, I think I’ll pack an overnight bag just in case the weather gets bad like that again…I’ll never drive in weather like that again…that was pretty scary!

Hope everyone had a happy day with family and friends. Adam helped me put up some Christmas lights on the garage. Steve was here with the dog. Haven’t seen Pat yet, hope he had a fun day too. Bill made turkey & stuffing & gravy, I made sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, fruit salad, cranberry sauce, 3 pies, bread. Everything was delicious! Well I don’t have to be to work tomorrow till noon, so you can bet that I won’t be in town with all the crazy people (black friday don’t you know…). That’s all for today, bye.

Another weekend off wasted…well not totally…I did get some of my canvases and paints moved into the “studio”. The last painting that I was working on is on the easel waiting for me. Now if I can just find the photos I was working from…if not, I’ll just start something else. Anyway…I guess that’s it for now, bye.
