It’s tomorrow…

June 26th, 2005

Well, I just signed on to get my mail and then it’s tomorrow…LOL…went visiting some friends and Bill caught a couple of fish. I took Adam along to RibFest and ate some ribs, bought some extra and brought them home. Only 1 band at a time, but no one was listening to them…it was too hot to sit at the tables and really listen to them. We tried 4 of the 5 kinds of ribs and I highly recommend the ones from Valley Catering, bought a bottle of BBQ sauce too (spicy/sweet/hot) really good…anyway, had fun, going to bed, bye.

Yay!!! It’s Friday!!!

June 24th, 2005

I have the weekend off…yay! I don’t have to be to work again till noon Monday. I think I’ll go check out the Rib Fest in Duncan tomorrow. There’ll be ribs and bands. Food and music sounds like a nice change. Bill says he doesn’t dance…well, he doesn’t have to go then. I’m picking up Gina and her daughter, probably Adam will go too, and head over there for a few hours. I don’t plan on staying too long…it will be hot out. Have to bring along the sunscreen and lots of water. Sounds like something different to do once, rather than go to Husker House and have prime rib. That’s by far my favorite place, but I want to do something else for fun. I’ve seen pretty much all the new movies on video. Anyway, bye again.

Mud holes

June 21st, 2005

Well, it rained hard last night and left nice big mud holes all down the street. I feel sorry for the people who live down the east side of the street. Some of the older people are trapped in their houses for days sometimes. They have a pump going now pumping muddy rain water out of the holes they left yesterday. At least they got the big pile of dirt filled back into the hole in our yard yesterday. Adam and I were out there for about an hour raking the dirt clods off the grass so it wouldn’t die off. Jeez…how much longer can this take? I thought our side of town was supposed to be done first, so what’s taking so long?

June 20

June 20th, 2005

Well, they have been working on the highway in front of our house for over 2 months now. When will they be done? This is getting rediculous. The front of our house and porch are so dirty with all that traffic going by so close to the house. They dig up the road and they fill it in…and do it all over again the next day…and the next week…and the next month. I’m getting tired of it. They aren’t supposed to be done with it till September or October I guess… I was sitting out on the porch after supper watching about 10 pieces of heavy machinery. The construction foreman came up and chatted for a few minutes. He said that he was sorry for any damage to our nice grass, and that there was a meeting tomorrow and that he’d mention that we wanted our nice zoisha grass put back in after all the construction was done. That was nice of him, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. He did like our nice thick grass tho. Anyway, that’s all I have today, bye.

Father’s Day

June 19th, 2005

Happy Father’s Day to all you fathers out there! My day was spent at work again. I usually end up having to work on both Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. Oh well…I am looking forward to my vacation starting on the 4th. We probably won’t be taking any road trips as Adam has drivers education classes that week. I might take a little road trip sometime during the week tho. Have to do something besides work you know. No plans yet on where to go, but will think of something. Anyway, thats all for today…bye.

Should be a day off…

June 16th, 2005

Well, today is supposed to be my day off, but I have to go to work for a few hours, then go back again in the evening for a meeting…2 trips to Columbus on my day off…grrr. Oh well, what else am I going to do huh? Clean my house? The basement could really use it, but it won’t be today I guess.
