Today the store manager took me out to lunch at Valentinos (wow). The personnel guy came along (I guess just to make sure nothing went on except eating HA-HA). When we got back and I clocked back in they told me that I shouldn’t have clocked out for that (I didn’t know that), so when I turned in the paper to adjust my time he asked me how long I’ve been working there that I didn’t know that. I replied to him “well let me think how long it’s been since the store manager took me out for lunch……..uuhhhhh…NEVER. He didn’t have anything else to say to that. That makes it a good day then, a free lunch and a paid lunch break!

Went back to work yesterday, it was supposed to be a 14 hour day, but they sent me home after only 11 (wow). My back was starting to hurt anyway, so I went home.

It’s New Year’s Eve and my last posting of the year. Happy New Year everyone! Bill and the boys made it home ok early Friday morning. They took lots of pictures and Adam had a video camera and took some nice videos too. We’re going to go eat at Husker House tonight and don’t know what after that…probably just come home before all the drunks leave the bars. I was to the doctor again Thursday and he says I’m healing up nicely. Have to go back to work next Thursday (Boo!). Anyway, hope you all have a good new year! Love ya, bye.

Well, Tuesday I was getting a little bored, so went to find my friend Becky. It just happened to be her birthday, so I kidnapped her and took her to Council Bluffs to the casinos. Harrahs send me a thing to comp me a free room, but they were all booked up so we didn’t stay overnight. We ate supper at the buffet there, but the one at Bluffs Run is better. We went to Bluffs Run also, and the whole night only cost me $20 for gas to get there and back, and $2 for the meal. I was only down by $3 at the end of the evening, so that’s pretty good. Better than losing a whole lot, but not quite as good as winning. But we had fun and got lost a little bit on the way home, Becky was my navigator and we ended up taking the loop around the airport, but we made it home ok. Bye for now.

Well Bill, Adam, and Steve are off to the Alamo Bowl and to see the Gulf of Mexico. That leaves me alone with the cat for the week. Hope they have fun! I get to go to Columbus today to return some stuff (fun-fun). Yesterday I got to wash the bedding and do some other laundry (sounds like fun huh?). I also bought a movie off the pay per view and ate leftovers for supper. I have such an exciting life!

Merry Christmas everyone! We’re just going to stay home tonight and have my folks and brother over tomorrow for a nice noon meal…having ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, rolls, and cherry cheese cake for desert. Hope everyone has a nice holiday, bye for now.
