Nothing much going on today, just being lazy.  Did some laundry, but didn’t fold it.  Finished putting the liner in the kitchen drawers, but didn’t fill them up with the stuff.  Gave the bird a bath, but not the cat…where did that come from?  LOL  Anyway, is anybody out there???  Leave a comment then, or e-mail me.  Bye.

Well, I applied for the manager job at work again this past week, and they passed me over for the 3rd time now…that sucks.  That’s all I have to say about that right now, cause if I said anything else, they might cancel my web page.  Bye.

Well so far the room is painted, cupboards painted, new frig put in, new floor in, new counter top and sink and faucets and garbage disposal in, new replacement windows in.  Still need to put the cupboard doors back on and get new handles for them (or clean up the old ones and use them).  Want to get a new table and chairs, or a booth built.  Maybe a wallpaper boarder around the top…something “kitchen-ey”.  Picked out a few samples, but haven’t settled on any certain one yet.  It’s looking really nice!  Anyway, that’s all for today.  Love ya.

Yesterday was our 30 year anniversary.  We didn’t go on any long trip, just a short one to the casinos.  I came home with $40 more than I started with.  Played roulette and some slots, and ate for free at the buffet in Ameristar.  Next year maybe we’ll go for a week somewhere, when there are no kids at home to worry about.  This year we’re doing the kitchen remodel…which is coming along nicely thank you.  Still waiting on the countertop, sink, and windows.  Those will be here next week.  Thursday the flooring will be put in and Friday the new ‘frig’ will be here.  Saturday my vacation is over and I have to go back to work.  Ah well, thats life.  Later, love ya.

Well, here I sit at 2:30 in the morning.  Just got done caulking around the gaps along the inside edges of my kitchen cupboards. We’re finally getting started on our kitchen remodeling!  So far we’ve got the whole thing stripped down, cupboard doors off, everything primed, ceiling painted and first coat of paint on the walls.  Tomorrow is the second coat of paint on the walls, and painting the cupboards.  The cupboard doors are almost done being sanded.  We’re having B&K Flooring come in and lay the new subfloor and vinyl flooring on this coming Thursday, so everything else has to be done before that, at least on the painting.  We’re getting a new countertop and sink and faucet, and a new refrigerator (a side by side).  I got some wallpaper boarder samples today, and I like a lot of them.  I’ll make the final decision on that later.  So my last vacation of the year started today, I don’t have to be back to work till the 28th.  Looks like we’ll be spending our 30th anniversary at home remodeling, but that’s ok.  I’ve been saving for a while for this, and it’s going to look really nice when it gets done.  Well, that’s all for now.  Love ya!

Went to a funeral today for a friend that died in a motorcycle accident.  Randy Peterson.  He really loved his Harley and rode all the time.  It was held at the Federated Church social hall.  When we walked in it seemed more like a wedding reception rather than a funeral.  Betty said that she really didn’t expect all the people that came.  It was a nice gathering, people got up and told stories about him.  One guy, I think it was his cousin, got up and said that he never saw such a variety of different people in the same room before.  That was nice that Randy had a lot of friends from a lot of different walks of life.  It was kind of sad, but yet it was the “celebration of his life” that they wanted.  They had a little lunch after, but I didn’t stay for that.  Went to the bar with most of the other people that he hung around with for so long.  Didn’t stay for too long though, went home and watched a rented movie (rented RV).  Anyway, that’s all for today.
