Blah, blah, blah…
Yeah I said it…blah, blah, blah. I’m tired of work. My boss got another job and I applied for it and didn’t get it (again). And you know what the bad thing about it is? The guy that did has been working there for less than 6 months. He came in as full time in my department, went to assistant manager in another department, and now he’s my boss. I have a feeling that they only promoted him so fast because he is building a house and spends mega-bucks there. Not that he’s a bad guy or anything, he seems nice enough. I was just a little disappointed is all…I still have the same job, but I’m getting tired of it. Any ideas on what I can do to start my own business? I’m tired of working for someone else, and Bill needs to retire…his back hurts him all the time, and he works too much too. We were joking around about playing poker for a living…just need the $10,000 to buy in to the World Poker Tournament! Any donations would be appreciated!!!

You don’t necessarily need the 10 grand to get into one of those. Those online poker sites have tournaments all the time where you buy in with a little amount of money and if you win you get a seat at one of those big tournaments. Hell if he’s good enough at poker he could make a living just doing the online tournaments. I read about people doing that all the time.

I don’t recommend it, but my new neighbor bought his house, new truck & new car with money he earned gambling on line. Haven’t heard that from HIM, just the neighborhood chat system, and it seems hard to believe. I cant imagine chancing losing my hard earned money like that. Hang in there! We are feeling the same way, getting so tired of working as we have ALL worked for over 40 years…thats something those young kids out there, looking for a way out, cant say. We have paid our dues! We NEED a break before we are OLD! I suggest a few more mini-vacations, especially in the winter, to sunny locations. Even a long weekend can refresh your mind & spirit! (You are always welcome here too, do some crabbing, fishing or clamming! or just fly a kite!) Love Ya!

OK! NOT 40 years, but it feels like it, right?? (SOME people can say that….)

It’s not hard to believe at all. People do it all the time. I read about a 17 year old kid who quit school and was online all the time playing poker and he was making over $300,000 a year doing it. I don’t think that the online thing is going to last forever though. Soon enough all the bandwagon jumpers who arent any good at poker (dead money) will stop doing it and all that will be left are the people who were hard core to begin with.
