My ship came in!

Just kidding…I just wanted to know how it felt to say that…

Turkey & dressing & all the fixin’s.

November 16th, 2008

Yesterday we had our turkey and all the fixin’s. Steve and Adam came for the meal. Pat didn’t make it, I’m sure because of the distance. The food was really good, and I’ll be eating leftovers for a couple days. Adam had to work later and left after dinner, but Steve stayed and watched a little of the football game. He ran in a 5k race in Omaha with Bill’s brother Joe, and Joe beat Steve by about an arm’s length (according to Steve). Anyway, Thanksgiving was a little early here, and we’ll probably have pizza on Thanksgiving Day.

I’m so glad that I don’t have to go to Wisconsin for seminars this year. I don’t have to mess with all the preparation for the “Black Friday” sales. No putting up sales on Friday nites and staying till 11pm. No more hassles. I really am glad that I’m not a manager anymore. I sleep a lot better at night, and I don’t have to work my ass off. I don’t walk as much and my foot feels a lot better because of that. I still have to wear the orthotics, but that’s ok.

I guess that’s all for today. Later…

How it’s made.

I like to watch that show on Discovery Channel. Yesterday I learned how toilet paper is made…interesting. Anyway, I have a day off today, what will I do…hmmm…what will I do? Stay tuned…

Taco Tuesday.

November 4th, 2008

I didn’t have taco tuesday today, thought about it, but decided on just a burger from A&W. Going to Taco Johns takes up my whole lunch time just driving back and forth from there. Haven’t eaten lunch out for a while.

Well did you vote? I mailed mine in last week. Who’s winning? I’m sure I’ll know in the morning.

OK, I’m going to bed. Work early in the morning…see ya.

Spring cleaning…a little late…or early…

November 1st, 2008

OK, I have been told by my youngest son that my house smells like old people…SO NOW I’ve started cleaning out my closets and getting rid of old clothes that we don’t wear anymore, and vacuuming, and washing blankets & sheets, and polishing the furniture, and so on. Got carpet fresh, and fabric freshener, and furniture polish at the store. I opened up the windows today to air the place out because it was so nice outside. I think that this might be the last nice weekend before it turns cold again. I almost feel like I could paint a couple of rooms…but I think that’s going to wait till spring.

Thursday I got all the patio furniture in to the basement for winter, and got everything cleaned up outside. All the cute little yard animal statues are in, and all the planters are cleaned up and put in the garage.

We didn’t have very many trick-or-treaters last night, maybe 30 or 40 at the most. I had to work till 7, so I got home well after the majority of the littler ones were done. I didn’t hear of any real trouble in town. It was pretty quiet for a change.

Anyway, I guess that’s all for today. K Bye.

Happy Halloween.

Happy Halloween all you spooks!
